Those walk-ups, brownstones, and other residential buildings that make New York unique – charming though they are – also come with hidden risks. If you have been injured on a staircase with uneven risers or live in a building with uneven stairs, you have options available. If you are worried that you might be injured, you have a right to demand that your landlord fix the staircase. If you have already been injured because of falling on an uneven staircase, you may be entitled to compensation. Call our office to schedule an appointment so we can discuss your options with you.
