For those who are sensitive, black mold can produce a wide range of symptoms. Usually, these occur in the respiratory tract and may include watery eyes, sneezing, wheezing, running nose, scratchy throat, etc. For those who have asthma, it can make their asthma worse or even provoke a full-on asthma attack. There is even evidence that black mold can cause psychiatric issues in some people, including insomnia, anxiety, depression, inattentiveness, and general brain fog. If the presence of mold in your home is due to negligence by the landlord, property manager, or building owner, you may be entitled to compensation for medical treatment, property damage, and even reduced quality of life.
